A huge thank you to Autumn House Press and B O D Y for nominating my work (“The Cellar” and “The Woman Whistles”) for the Pushcart Prize. I wrote both of these pieces (one a piece of flash fiction and the other a poem) during my youngest son’s erratic naps when he was a newborn. I was writing wild things back then (extra wild for me) and it’s so exciting to see them off loose in the real world.
