A selection of my short-shorts was recently named a finalist for the 2012 Italo Calvino Prize for Fabulist Fiction, judged by Aimee Bender. These pieces are included in a collection of stories, tentatively titled Monster Drinks Chocolate Milk, and Other Tales.
Right now I’m working on a novel-in-progress tentatively titled Out of the Blue, which is represented by Janet Silver at Zachary Shuster Harmsworth.
I teach creative writing and literature courses at SUNY Fredonia, where I am also the co-director of the Mary Louise White Visiting Writers Series.
